CUTIE FACT - The
deluxe wagon version of the 1964 Nissan Cedric, the WP31, had some interesting
features. It had a pull-down blind to cover the back window, a power window
in the tailgate, a dimmer switch for the interior light, a power outlet
in the glovebox to let you use things like an electric razor, a rear facing
3rd seat that folded down into the wagon floor when not in use, a tool
kit that included two tins of touch-up paint, and a radio that could be
removed from the car that had it's own batteries, speaker and antenna so
you could use it as a portable radio.
The 31 series Cedric sedan was available
in three different wheelbase lengths, the wagon is based on the middle
wheelbase length.
The WP130 Nissan Cedric has a key
hole on the passenger side of the car between the wheel arch and the tail
light, this is to operate the power side window. The window in the cargo
area on the passenger side winds down, but the driver's side one doesn't. |
