LATER MODEL
NISSAN CEDRICS
.
What came next.
The Cedric has been in production
since 1960 and is still being made today. In 1967 the name Cedric was dropped
from the cars in most export markets and they have been sold under a variety
of different names since then. In most countries in the 1970s and 1980s
the cars were sold as the Datsun 240C, Datsun 260C, Datsun 280C and Nissan
300C. (Ever wondered what the 'C' stood for ?). Since 1988 the Cedric has
been kept mainly as a car only for the Japanese domestic market, the newest
Cedrics are rarely seen outside of Japan. This page is a short and very
concise history of the Cedrics made after 1971.
